HOMEGROWN SHORTS
THE BEST OF THE SOUTH WEST
As creatives and film fans whose hearts are firmly tied to the South West, Homegrown Shorts is our way of giving a platform to the emerging cinematic voices in our beloved region. We are also the only British short film festival (as far as we know) that is not only free, but actually pays filmmakers for their films.

50% of the box office for the event is split evenly between the exhibited filmmakers. The more people come to the screening, the more the filmmakers get paid!

Featuring short films shot in, inspired by or created by filmmakers hailing from our cosy corner of the British Isles, we're proud to call Curzon Cinema & Arts in Clevedon our home. As one of the oldest still functioning purpose-built cinemas in the UK, this cinema has an incredible legacy of entertaining the filmgoers of Somerset, and it's a privilege to be an ongoing part of its legacy.
Have a read about submission criteria as well as news on past and upcoming events below, and get in touch to find out more or submit a film.
